Brian Flotte - Marriage Retreat
For my geolocated project, I wanted to record my weekend. It was a very special weekend that I had with my wife. We went to a marriage or couples retreat in Wisconsin. I wanted to show our trip, and how we got there. I like the way that we had time to relax and just be around other married couples without having to deal with my baby or school or jobs. I got shots from when we stopped for food or gas. I recorded shots from when we were actually there at the retreat center also. I kind of wanted to tell the story of our weekend and show where we went. I wanted to show how we retreat to another place and some of the activities we did.
I edited many shots from my weekend into short clips using little dissolve transitions. I wanted to use real audio from when I recorded to show the realness of it. The main idea was to show how we were on this adventure, sort of traveling to one place to another to go on this retreat.
